No Hope for Dems

Obama's toast and so is the Democrat's quest for the White House. The Reverend Wright fiasco will be minimized by the MSM and others, but it won't be forgotten by the electorate. Already we are hearing Dems asking why they didn't know this sooner. It was there all along if anyone other than conservatives had bothered to look.

If Obama's racist spiritual ties were recognized a year ago, he would have raced Kucinich to the bottom. Now the party's stuck with him and all his baggage. That load doesn't just consist of Wright, Rezko, Michelle and Obama's vacant resume'. His nihilistic far left base is a disaster waiting to happen.

If Democrat insiders nominate Hillary in an effort to salvage this mess, there will be a shit storm in Denver that will make 1968 look like an afternoon drizzle. The far left has always had a propensity for violent protest and this will be no exception. Obama's core supporters view him in almost messianic terms, which means attempts at reason will be futile.

If Dems stick with Obama, then they've got just another socialist race hustler in a better disguise.

Either way, the majority of Americans will be turned off. Democrats are now proving which party is truly the one of diviseveness and dishonesty.

Spitzer deserves what he gets

The insufferably self-righteous Eliot Spitzer is now in the public dock himself , will resign and it couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Last year he got himself in hot water after spying on a rival, which was typical behavior. He abused his power as AG by going after anyone, especially Wall Street for any trumped up charge tht would grab a headline. He and his staff threatened all sorts of people with the force of his office for merely criticizing him. More here. He's been a pretty crappy governor to boot. As a rule I find feelings of shadenfreude to be distasteful and try not to express them. In this case I'll make an exception.

Sen. Nelson's primary lie

In explaining Florida's primary problems Bill Nelson places backhanded blame on the GOP.

"In Florida, this punishment comes because the Republican-controlled state legislature moved the state's primary date to an early spot on the calendar."

What he fails to mention is that the bill was introduced by a Democrat and approved by every Democrat in the State Senate. Your party created this mess Sen. Nelson. Grow up and own it.

Climate Predictions Wrong Again

While statists push for more power over our lives based on dubious long term climate predictions, the supposed experts can't even predict weather beyond a couple of months.

"ScienceDaily (Oct. 11, 2007) — NOAA forecasters are calling for
above-average temperatures over most of the country and a continuation of
drier-than-average conditions across already drought-stricken parts of the
Southwest and Southeast in its winter outlook for the United States"

With all their degrees, taxpayer funded equipment and salaries, the NOAA was no more reliable than the Farmers Almanac.

Turns out both were hilariously wrong.

"The U.S. winter of 2007-08 — which meteorologists classify as the months of December, January and February — will go down as the coldest since the winter of 2000-01, with a national average temperature of 33.2 degrees, NOAA reported Thursday."

But we're going to rearrange the world's economy and reduce liberty based on 20-100 year predictions of a climate that has millions of variables that we can barely understand, much less forecast or control. This will go down as the most expensive and deadly hoax in human history.

Congress sticks its nose into CEO pay

Can someone tell me where in the constitution the government has the right to question a private employment contract? That's what Henry Waxman's Oversight and Government Operations Committee did yesterday. Oversight apparently means anything Herr Waxman wants to oversee. One wonders why he didn't question the compensation of Roger Clemens at last month's three ring circus. After all, the Rocket was paid $188,888 per inning in 2007 playing with the Yankees, delivering a mediocre 6-6 record and a 4.18 ERA. His pay is not only about a bajillion times more than the average beer vendor but the Yanks got knocked out of the playoffs in the first round. And that's with the highest player payroll in baseball. A lot of average Joes at the stadium and surrounding areas lost precious wages due to their incompetence.

But you say Cliff! The Yanks have to compete against other teams and you can't expect perfection. They're just paying market rates for the best talent available. There's a lot of variables in play here and I like to see you do better!

Exactly. I can't do better and would probably do a lot worse. That's why I can't and wouldn't haul the Steinbrenners in front of me to explain themselves. And since I'm not a shareholder, it's none of my damn business. But you see, according to Democrats the laws of supply and demand only apply to things people don't "need". Otherwise they'll replace the free and voluntary judgement of individuals with their own commandments from on high.

The credit and housing markets are going through a major correction. That's what markets do sometimes. There are more variables at work here than the Yankees could ever dream of . Nevertheless, Democrats think their scary intellect can sort it all out with show trials and more government meddling after the fact.

What's really happening here is a direct assault on capitalism and liberty by a statist fifth column.

Plastic bags not a danger

Another eco lie shot down but don't worry, there will be more. First it was Global Cooling then Warming and now Climate Change, a catchall term now used to blame any unusual weather pattern on human activity. Of course any contrary evidence is ignored or derided. One thing remains constant though. The socialists, control freaks and busybodies who think they know how to run everyone's lives better than they do and will do and say anything to erode individual liberty. They'll continue to use the environment as a red herring to achieve those goals

Democrats propose government mortgage buyout

Government expansionism and economic ignorance combine for another attempt to meddle in private markets with a proposal for the feds to purchase non-performing mortgages. Life long government hack Barney Frank says that without more government intervention: "we're going to have a longer and deeper economic problem than is necessary,"

Quite the opposite. A bailout of bad loans just encourages more bad loans at taxpayer expense and delay recovery as deadbeats will now string out Uncle Sam rather than allowing foreclosure by the lenders who made these bad loans in the first place.

Denver airport limits wi-fi access

Provocative sites such as Vanity Fair have been blocked at DIA because they "would rather deal with infrequent complaints about access than handle angry parents whose children might see pornography." In other words, it's easier to limit your freedom than deal with irresponsible, lazy parents who feel it's everyone else's job to raise their kids.

The Madness of Prince Charles

The worlds most famous dilettante calls non-belief in Global Warming "sheer madness" Check that. I mean "Climate Change". That's the latest name for this hoax, which can now be used to blame any unusual weather pattern on a fabricated crisis which exists solely to expand government power and reduce liberty.

Yemen weighs in on cartoons

Apparently all the problems in the Muslim community would go away if the world would be nicer to them. Now we have Yemeni "scholars" and the Prime Minister whining about friggin' cartoons. PM Mujwar "called for an international law that criminalizes religious insults and enforces mutual respect of religions, calling on all rationalists in the West to avoid such negative acts. "

Mutual respect? Is it mutual respect when you have a death cult within your religion that numbers about 100 million? How much respect are we supposed to have for a religion that routinely murders its own women, jews, apostates, gays, westerners, christians etc.? All with either the sanction or willful neglect of Islamic governments. And how's that trafficking in children as slaves the Yemeni government turns a blind eye to or actively participates in?

I am not and will not be tolerant of the intolerant. It's a two way street.

Mujwar goes on: "The publication of these cartoons has nothing to do with press freedom, a device used by some as a shield to insult others. This was an act that violates human values, laws and rights, satisfying only the devilish whims of those who put the cartoons to print"

No. A violation of human rights is stoning a woman to death for talking to a man outside her family. Or beheading someone for converting to another religion. And is the constant Muslim publication of Jews as Nazis, rats etc. a violation of human values"?
Obviously this international law will apply to everyone but Muslims. These guys are like the wife beating husband who blames his spouse for his abuse. If she would just behave exactly as he wanted, then he wouldn't smack her around. Or at least not as much since he can rationalize any behavior as worthy of violence.

Vote Obama Tshirt

He's not as uppity as Jesse or Al and certainly not an Uncle Tom like Clarence Thomas or Michael Steele. He also completely buys into the Dems Euro-Socialist agenda. Most important, he's not completely black. He's the messianic Magic Negro so "the less real he seems, the more desirable he becomes. If he were real, white America couldn't project all its fantasies of curative black benevolence on him. "

I would modify that to read white LIBERAL America that's
obssessed with race while deflecting and projecting its own racism on everyone who would disagree with its agenda.

Planned Parenthood racist donations

Committed Marxist and eugenicist Margaret Sanger would have no problem with the race based donations her Planned Parenthood descendants are gleefully willing to accept. And if you can't keep them from procreating, then give out just enough money to keep them poor and dependent.
